Madeiras

The name of Madeiras comes from a Portuguese island, which was visited by the restaurant founders a few dacades ago. The visitors were amazed by it's beauty and the great abundance of different types of trees existing on it. In the beginning, the restaurant was completely made and decorated with wood, in the style of a colonial house decorated with many details in wood carved by craftsmen of Taxco, Gro.

The restaurant cought fire in October 1985, after only seven years of it's foundation. The reconstruction of Madeiras took only a record time of twenty five days and it's success has prevailed. It has been visited by Presidents of Mexico, Prime Ministers of other nations, governors, state secretaries and famous people. This beautiful restaurant has consolidated itself as must among tourists who visit Acapulco. Some clients comment that coming to Acapulco and not dining at the Madeiras, is like haven't been in Acapulco at all.
